An educator for 30 years, I discovered the benefits of Yamuna ® Body Rolling when I became debilitated with sciatic nerve problems. After months of physiotherapy with no real relief, I turned to acupuncture which did start to relieve the pain. However, I still had difficulty walking and going up stairs, and I could not sit for long or sleep the night without pain. Everyday activities like grocery shopping, vacuuming, gardening, sitting down to read for an hour and jaunts in the car, were limited or impossible. The physical activities I previously loved – squash, hiking, cycling, skiing – were out of the question.
Then, an Active Release Specialist introduced me to Yamuna® Body Rolling as a way of releasing the tightness in my muscles, enabling me to begin, once again, to lead a “normal” life. For me, this included simple things once taken for granted: grocery shopping, climbing stairs, cutting the grass, etc. I was even able to start to play squash again and rejoin my hiking group.
